Chasing Weather, Light and a Sense of Place
I am a Sussex-based landscape photographer with a background in international press photography. Years spent photographing breaking news taught me to anticipate fleeting moments, changing light and unpredictable weather. Today, that same instinct shapes my work in a very different way.
From the Sussex coast and South Downs to the Scottish Highlands and the plains of Tornado Alley, I seek landscapes transformed by atmosphere. Whether it's the calm of a long exposure, the drama of an approaching storm or the first light breaking across the countryside, I'm drawn to those brief moments that can never be repeated.
Every photograph in this collection has been chosen because it tells a story about place. I hope my work encourages people to slow down, look more closely and bring a lasting connection to the landscape into their homes.
In 2025, my photograph, The Morton Tornado was awarded International Nature Photographer of the Year at the Australian Photographic Prize.
